Common questions
Everything the site is asked, and a few answers there was no room for there.
The same questions as on the site, and at the end a few the site has no room for.
Is this anarchy?
Yes, in the literal sense: there is no ruler. Nobody hands out rights, settles arguments in chat or forbids anything. It is not chaos, though — order rests on contracts the players sign themselves, and on a Council everyone elects.
What does the pass actually give me?
Entry. Your account joins the whitelist while the subscription runs and you get the whole mod and the whole pack, no exceptions. We do not sell items, commands or an edge in combat — that would destroy the point of contracts.
Which world should I pick?
The comparison and three questions to help decide are on the worlds page. The Polis law is the same in each; the pack, the danger and whether there is a Dark Zone differ.
Do I need a licensed Minecraft?
Yes. The server runs with online-mode=true and checks every login against
Mojang, so an unlicensed client will not get in even with a pass paid for. It has
to be Minecraft: Java Edition — Bedrock will not do.
How do I install the pack?
Three ways, and they do not mix. The simplest is the CurseForge app: install the Everdawn pack straight from there. The second is Prism Launcher: import the Everdawn.zip from the confirmation page — from the Import tab, not Custom — and allow the update command, after which the instance fetches every mod from its author's own page and keeps itself in step with the server. The third is the official launcher: NeoForge and one mod, AutoModpack, and the server sends the rest when you join. Polis is part of the pack and runs on both sides, so nothing is installed separately.
The details are on Install Everdawn (Create); the Vanilla world has a page of its own.
What happens when I get robbed?
Every act on ground you hold goes into the day-book — what was broken, what was carried out and from where — whether or not you closed the border, and the land map shows you where. Close the border and the visit is also told to you as it happens, in chat and with a sound, and becomes evidence: you bring a complaint, the Council decides whether they did it, and the fine comes to you. On open ground the book names who; it fines nobody.
Why not simply ban griefers?
Because then the whole project disappears. A border here is a warning and a line, not a wall: you can cross, but everything you do is recorded and can become evidence before the Council. The Council decides only whether you did it; what it costs is fixed and published before anyone is accused, and the fine goes to the person you wronged.
Is there PvP? Are there guns?
Yes to both. Scorched Guns is in the pack, behind a Create factory rather than a crafting table. A kill is recorded: the killer becomes a renegade — a red name, a blood-debt and a search area the reapers can see. Then either they are caught or the window runs out. Mobs never carry guns.
How that works is on Renegades and reapers.
Will the map be wiped?
The aim is one world that is never made again. While the beta lasts that is not a promise: during the beta the world has already been remade, and every time is written down in “What changed in Everdawn”. Unproven penalty points fade one a day; an acquittal deletes the record.
What if I cancel?
Your account leaves the whitelist, but your city, contracts and records stay exactly where they were. Come back and it is all still there.
How big is the server?
Small, and in beta. A Ukrainian core with English-speaking players welcome, and a mod that is still growing — mechanics are added and changed, and material changes are announced in Discord.
Why Create, and what is left out?
Create, because contracts need something worth delivering and a road needs something worth hauling. Around Create 6 sit about 140 mods — Farmer's Delight, Supplementaries, Quark, YUNG's structures, Towns & Towers among them. What is missing is missing on purpose: no claim mods, because they stop people; no Waystones, because a road has to mean something; no vein miners or ore doubling, because ore is money; no second currency and no second map.
What stops me past Wall Sina?
Nothing: nobody keeps you from crossing. But no land can be claimed there, no border bars anybody, no road charges a toll, and nothing done there is written down or can be brought before the court. What you lose is not permission but the witness. More in Dark Zone.
I was killed past the wall. Does the killer owe me?
No: a blood-debt arises only in the Safe Zone. The killer still becomes a renegade and is hunted by the reapers, and you see their search area for as long as the hunt lasts.
Can I claim a seep?
No: nobody owns a seep past the wall. The first survey report charts it under the name you give it, but what is held is not the seep but its taps — by a wellhead and the lubricant fed to its seal. How that works is on Oil.
Who can exile me from the server?
Inside the world, only the whole server, by vote. The Council decides only whether you are guilty; a timed sentence is served in the world as an outlaw, and when a case is serious enough the server is asked about permanent exile. The community rules stand apart from the game: breaking them can end your access.
