Everdawn

Installing the pack

Prism Launcher or the Modrinth App, importing Everdawn.zip, and the update command that keeps the pack in step with the server.

The pack is about seventy mods, Polis among them. Polis is needed on both sides: without it the client cannot speak to the server.

The launcher

You need Prism Launcher or the Modrinth App. Both run pre-launch commands, which is how the pack keeps itself up to date. The CurseForge app does not, so it will not do.

Importing Everdawn.zip

The file is on everdawn.net and in the email that followed your payment. It carries no mods at all: only the game version, the loader (NeoForge 21.1.248), the heap size and one command.

In Prism, import the archive from the Import tab, not from Custom. Importing from Custom drops the pre-launch command, and the instance then quietly stops updating — no error, just a day when your versions and the server's have drifted apart.

Allow the command

Before the first launch Prism asks whether it may run a custom command. Yes. That command is the updater: it compares hashes against the published index and downloads only what moved.

"$INST_JAVA" -jar "packwiz-installer-bootstrap.jar" "https://pack.everdawn.net/pack.toml"

There is no "update the pack" step here, which means there is none to forget.
